Thursday, September 27th, 2007

When the iPhone’s initial specs were released by Apple, tons of users complained about its lack of a camera flash. Using a USB connector, 4 white LED’s, and a tact switch, I built a removable flash unit.

Use the Forums, Ringtonator Bumped Down

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

This is the last post in this blog about Ringtonator. I’ve moved all dev progress to the forums, where you can find the source and a few other things in the “Mac Dev” category.

I updated Ringtonator to 1.5.1 (you can find it in the usual place. Version 1.5.1 is only compatible with iTunes 7.4.1, sorry about the false alarm earlier, that was a result of poor testing on my part. This new version renames the file and opens it up automatically in iTunes.

Seriously, go, I feel so alone with only 1 user. To clear things up, Me = Admin = Joe. Simple, no?

So go get all the good usernames before its too late…

Ringtonator Released, Free Ringtones for All!

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
NOTICE: Version 1.1 has been released, and should fix the conversion inconsistency that has been going around. Link here.

After reading Erica’s post over at TUAW about how cleverboy found a workaround to the ringtone problem using AtomicParsely to edit the song’s metatags, I knew I had to write a GUI for it. An hour or two of work (learned how to implement draggable items), and I came up with this, which I call “The Ringtonator.”
